I’m always after the effortless look that Sienna and Kate do so well, the kind of ‘I’ve just thrown this on but I’m totally rockin’ it’ look. Now I know that this comes naturally to some people (annoying isn’t it?!) but I’m hoping that by buying a few classic items like statement jackets, oversized knits and standout accessories, you can use them as a base to build the look around and appear as if you totally get it and you just happened to look this amazing. I would probably add a little ‘Tah Dah’ into it to be even more convincing.

Jacket, Beaumont Organic at Accent Clothing £100//Jeans, River Island//Shoes, Melissa at Accent Clothing £47.50
As a guest blogger for Accent Clothing I decided to have a go at testing my ‘effortless’ theory for their blog (the article you can see here) with this Beaumont Organic military style jacket teamed with simple skinny jeans and statement Melissa Peace Print shoes. I have only just discovered Melissa’s; they smell like berries, come with a little bag to store them in and are overall really different. What’s more they have been reduced to £47.50 so you basically have no excuse not to get them!
Whilst the jacket is meant to be worn fastened, I love how it hangs when it’s left open and as the rest of the outfit is really simple the shoes add a bit of fun and personality into the mix.
So there we have it, my version of effortless styling for casual drinks, an evening BBQ or just hanging being your naturally chic bad self.
