Last night I pulled on my Carrie-style pink tulle skirt, grabbed my camera and skipped all the way down to the Town Hall for the 7th annual Leeds Fashion Show.
Although I have been into the Leeds landmark before in my students days (or should that be ‘daze’, some of those years are still a little blurry), I never realised how flippin’ amazing it is. Now I’m old and all that, I have started to appreciate things like a lovely view, architecture and the pain in the arse that is council tax. I’m truly a barrel of laughs these days!
On an evening where I should have been floating about in my pink skirt, clutching a notebook, intelligently listening to journo talk in the press section and generally being an excellent blogger; I ended up forgetting to bring a pen, only have enough charge in my battery for 3/4s of the show and threw my glass of wine all over the journalist sat next to me. Safe to say, I have never received a death stare so intense before. Jeez, a bit of Pinot Grigio never killed anyone before and I did reassure here that it only enhanced the look of her suede shoes…
