I am a sucker for advertising and generally like to try out new things that claim to change your life forever and make you look like Kate Moss. Unfortunately they don’t include the airbrush treatment so often they don’t quite have the same effect! Because of this, I have only a few products that I’m loyal to and these have now become my must haves.
So here they are, I recommend you try them too!
Eight Hour Cream
I bought my first tube 2 years ago and have never looked back. Is there anything this cream isn’t good for? My boyfriend will absolutely kill me for saying this (I’m going to go for it though as it’s my birthday today so it’s the law that he’s nice to me) but sometimes I even find him sneaking a little bit to use on his lips! Use it as a lip balm, intensive face mask, for mild burns, sunburn, blisters, the list goes on…
Clean and Clear Morning Scrub
This scrub is bitty enough to do it’s job properly but not so harsh that it scrubs your face off! It’s smells lovely and is pretty cheap too.
Clinique Chubby Stick
I got this free coloured lip balm when I went to the Harvey Nichols Skincare Awards last year and I am so sad that it’s almost finished. The colour isn’t too over the top (07 Super Strawberry) and works with heavy smokey eyes of an evening and just a slick of mascara for the daytime. Unfortunately it’s pretty pricey at £16 so maybe hint for this one as a sneaky present!
Clinique Moisture Surge
This moisturiser is my one and only beauty splurge. I got a free tube with Glamour magazine and finally found a moisturiser that keep my skin hydrated. It sinks in straight away and gives your skin a lovely dewy finish. At £30 I recommend you ask for a sample to make sure it suits your skin before buying.
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
I generally loathe all mascara brands because they blatantly lie in their adverts and it never makes it look like you have false eyelashes on (wow some anger there!). But I will get off my soap box because this one is actually quite good. Not quite false eyelashes length but when used with a comb like brush your lashes appear thick and flicked out.
Garnier Dry Mist Self Tan for your face
I’m not a fan of fake tan mostly because a. I’m lazy and b. I would be a streaky mess, but because I don’t tend to wear foundation, a spritz of this once a week adds a little colour to my cheeks and takes the grey tired edge off! Make sure you don’t overload though as it develops over a few hours and you will step into orange territory.
So those are my staple products that I swear by because frankly, they work! Can you recommend any others I should try?
