Ok, so I’m going to be honest now, these aren’t necessarily real leather but ‘pleather’ counts too right?!
Sheer blouse, Primark//Shorts, Topshop//Shoes, New Look
I love a good pair of shorts but I have to feel reasonably covered up in order to wear them out and about. The tried and tested rule of covering up your arms if you have your legs out is one that I firmly stick by! I paired these Topshop beauties with a sheer blouse from Primark and sky high heels from New Look. For a more casual look I plan to wear them with chelsea boots and an oversized knit or a pair of brogues and a tailored blazer.
Last night I headed down to the End of Summer Networking Party in Leeds and decided to brave the old bare legs. With the lack of recent sun and the fact I’m not big on the fake stuff (I am incapable of following instructions on the bottle), I fully embraced the pale and interesting look. I know realise this only reinforces why I’m often nicknamed Casper. It’s not my fault I’m the only girl in the world who is unable to successfully fake tan!
Unfortunately the event wasn’t very busy but it did mean I got to catch up with my lovely friend Mags from Smart Girl’s Fashion Guide over a cocktail and also meet the editor of the soon to be launched Leeds List. There’s some really exciting things happening in Leeds at the moment with the new Trinity Leeds shopping centre shooting up, Leeds Arena near completion and the Chinese Olympics team setting up camp here, so I am resisting the call to London.
